Fund transfers: fiat and USDT
Why most of our settlement happens in USDT, what that changes operationally, and where fiat is still the only sane answer.
Why USDT
For cross-border corporate flows, USDT clears in minutes on a weekend and does not depend on three correspondent banks agreeing to be awake. For clients transacting across corridors where wires take days, that is the difference between a deal closing and a deal repricing.
What it changes operationally
Speed removes the buffer that traditional settlement gives you to catch a mistake. So the controls move earlier: address whitelisting, test transfers, dual authorisation, and a screening step on both counterparties before anything leaves.
Provenance matters as much as speed. Every inbound is screened, and we will decline funds whose history we cannot explain to our banking partners.
Where fiat still wins
Regulated escrow, payroll, most acquisition closings and anything a notary touches still belongs in fiat. We run both rails and pick per transaction rather than per ideology.
